Guar gum is utilised as a clustering/clumping agent in the manufacture of cat litter. In cat litter, guar gum enhances the ability of silica gel and Bentonite to aggregate. It prevents clumps or clusters from disintegrating by holding granules together and hardening them. Guar gum’s exceptional binding power limits microbiological contamination in cat litter and enables quick and easy trash disposal.
